Today, Braze is pleased to announce it has been named to the Forbes Cloud 100 list (at #23) for the fourth consecutive year. The inclusion of Braze in this year's Cloud 100 reflects both the growing importance of customer engagement and brands' increased focus on keeping a real-time pulse on changing customer preferences and needs as we move into the next normal. This recognition also underscores our company's significant market presence after surpassing $200 million annual recurring revenue (ARR) and it’s an honor that’s even more special because it comes during the 10-year anniversary of Braze.
The Forbes Cloud 100 is produced in partnership with Bessemer Venture Partners and Salesforce Ventures and recognizes the best private cloud companies. As part of the rigorous selection process, they received hundreds of submissions from the top cloud startups. With that data, the Forbes Cloud 100 judges panel—which includes the majority of public cloud company CEOs—selected and ranked the top 100 eligible companies from all over the world. The Cloud 100 evaluation process ranks companies across four factors: Market leadership, estimated valuation, operating metrics, and people and culture. For market leadership, the Cloud 100 enlists the help of a judging panel of 34 public cloud company CEOs who assist in evaluating and ranking their private company peers.
“The private cloud ecosystem continues to see historic rates of digital transformation,” said Byron Deeter, partner at Bessemer Venture Partners. “Private cloud valuations are getting bigger as the market’s appetite for cloud continues to grow. These founders represent the absolute best in cloud computing today, and they appear likely to follow in the footsteps of our esteemed Cloud 100 alumni. Congratulations to these cloud leaders!”
Despite the challenges of a global pandemic, Braze has remained focused on customer needs and long-term results. Over the past year, Braze has hired more than 350 people—resulting in a workforce of more than 900 employees—and has expanded to Japan and Germany. It has also been listed on Crain's 2020 Best Places to Work in New York City (second year in a row), Fortune’s 2021 Best Workplace for Millennials, and 2021 UK Best Workplaces for Women lists.
We feel incredibly proud of Forbes’ ongoing recognition of Braze as a leader in the cloud space. Thank you to every Braze employee who made it possible for us to receive this honor for the fourth year in a row.
