Braze relies upon the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to validate transfers of Personal Data from the EU to countries outside the EU without an adequacy finding. On June 4th, 2021, the European Commission published new 2021 EU SCCs that replace the former 2010 SCCs.
The UK’s Information Commissioner has published a UK Addendum that allows transfers from the UK to countries without an adequacy finding to occur relying on a UK Addendum to the 2021 EU SCCs. Braze relies on the UK Addendum for relevant transfers from the UK.
If you have a DPA in place with Braze that does not already incorporate the 2021 EU SCCs and/or the UK Addendum, you are welcome to either sign the European Amendment 2022 below or sign the updated DPA.
In either case, please download the applicable document, complete on the document in block capital letters your company’s full legal name and signatory details, and sign and return it by email to [email protected]. Upon receipt of the validly completed DPA or European Amendment 2022 by Braze, dated and signed by you, at this email address, the DPA or European Amendment 2022 will become legally binding.
